Boyfriend has always loved the eggrolls I bring back from King Eggroll. My previous post can be found here. On my most recent trip home, he came along and really wanted to go to King Eggroll, since he had never been there.
As I mentioned before, King Eggroll is famous for their eggrolls. They are often a staple item at potlucks. It's a small shop that also serves some dim sum items, some chinese food combination plates and fried chicken, but they are most famous for their eggrolls. People are always buying trays of their eggrolls. The place was as busy as ever on this past visit. I don't think I've ever come here without seeing a steady stream of customers, no matter what time of day it is.
We ordered a tray of 40 egg rolls. Baby brother ate a couple before I could take a picture of the tray.
The egg roll was as good as ever. Thin, crispy skin on the outside, brimming with sauteed cabbage, clear noodle, meat, carrots and black pepper on the inside.
The egg rolls come with a yummy sweet and sour dipping sauce. They taste best fresh, but also taste good reheated in a toaster oven. King Eggroll currently has four locations in the Bay Area. If only they'd open one in San Diego.
