Le Parfait Paris

Le Parfait Paris is one of our favorite bakery and dessert spots in San Diego. The French cafe offers pastries, bread, macarons, cakes, drinks and more.

As we head towards the end of the year, we’ve been trying to make our way back to our favorite places in San Diego. We recently stopped in for an a relaxing afternoon dessert break. After browsing the large display of treats, we made our selections.

I was immediately drawn in by the oversized piece of chocolate circling the cake, giving it such a stunning and festive appearance. The cake itself is a light vanilla mousse with a layer of berries.

This is one of my favorite desserts here. Rich, yet airy chocolate mousse, with thin layer of praline crisp and an almond biscuit bottom.

Mr. K has a weakness for their almond croissants so he couldn’t resist ordering one. Light and flaky layers with a generous amount of almond cream filling.

To pair with our sweets, we chose a warm cafe mocha. I love the tall Nespresso glass it’s served in.

We were also in the mood for some cocktails so we had the fleur de champagne which is mixed with a sweet hibiscus syrup and an edible hibiscus flower soaked in syrup.

Overall, we really enjoy coming here when we’re in the mood for a French cake or pastry. We had the pleasure of coming here on their first opening weekend and it’s been so great to see their progress.

  1. I usually get a croissant there.  I’ll have to try one of those French cakes…
