Pan Bon is a food hall in Little Italy that opened earlier this year. It offers a wide variety of ready-made foods to-go, and dinner service.

We stopped in for a quick look while waiting for our dinner at Bracero, which is right next door.

Some of the offerings I could spy included coffee, pastries, bread, sandwiches, and mignons (mini desserts). Of course, I zeroed in on the desserts. Since we already had dinner plans, we opted to order a few espresso drinks and some mignons to munch on.

Prosecco

Sparkling wine infused with a mousse-like dessert. This was a creamy, light, and delicate. I really enjoyed it.

Similar to a cream puff, with a hazelnut cream filling.

This layered chocolate and hazelnut cake was light and moist.

Overall, we enjoyed the mignons we had and we’ll definitely be back to try more as well as trying their other food items. The dining hall is quite large and it seems like a pretty nice addition to Little Italy.

  2. I like their variety of mini desserts.. I still have to try their hot food offerings.

  3. we stopped by there too because bracero wasn’t ready yet during taste of little italy. waiting for bracero is a common theme! i remember them having tons of samples though, and had no idea it was considered a “food hall.” desserts looked delicious!

  4. Wow, that looks amazing! I’m ready to move to San Diego after reading your restaurant reviews.
