I love the color of these cocktails. The extra large pomegranates are finally in season. I stocked up on them while shopping at Costco, which also gave me a chance to try out a new method of deseeding pomegranates which has been all over the internet. I’ve made my own video showing the method, which you can find at the end of this post.

It really works and I was able to completely de-seed my huge pomegranate in less than 60 seconds. The ruby red fruit is so pretty, inspiring me to make these holiday cocktails.

Pomegranate Cranberry Cocktail

These red and green cocktails are festive and perfect for a holiday party.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle sparkling pomegranate juice
  • 1 cup cranberry juice or cranapple juice for something sweeter
  • 2-3 oz vodka (optional)
  • fresh mint or basil
  • pomegranate seeds for garnish

Instructions

  • Mix juices and vodka. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint or basil and pomegranate seeds.
