Venissimo Cheese
Venissimo Cheese just recently opened its newest location in The Headquarters at Seaport District. And this shop is actually openmuch later than its other San Diego locations.
Mr. K and I are both cheese lovers, so we love visiting Venissimo, which offers a huge variety of cheese from around the world.
In addition, the shop also offers some other cheese accompaniments for purchase such as chocolates, crackers, etc.
Figuring out what cheeses you like can be overwhelming but Venissimo employees are always very helpful and generous with samples, so that you don’t have to purchase an entire block to try out a cheese you are curious about.
The newest location was just as friendly as the other ones and I really love that it is open later too.
We left with a variety of cheeses, including brillat truffee, campo de montalban, formaggio al tartufo

I haven’t been to their other location so I must try this one at the Headquarters. I love that ram (or is it a goat?) that’s on the wall.
I love the later hours! And you can shop and eat and browse.
Good to know they’re open later than 6pm at this location 🙂 I love the variety of jams they have available here as well, and the fact that they’re sold in sample sizes as well! How did the cheeses turn out?
the cheeses were delicious! We sampled them before buying so we knew we’d like them. I’m saving the truffle one for a truffle mac and cheese.
