San Diego recently became the test market for a new McDonald’s menu item, McCafé Cold Brew Coffee. The coffee is currently being tested exclusively in San Diego.

As many of you know, I am an avid coffee drinker and cold brew is part of my daily diet. So I was definitely intrigued when I heard of McDonald’s new offering.
I also love that San Diego has been chosen as the test market. I still remember when McDonald’s chose San Diego to be their test market for all-day breakfast.
A few days ago, I stopped in to try the new drink during a media preview.
There are two variations offered:
Cold Brew Coffee, which can be ordered black or with cream and/or sugar. It can also be customized with French vanilla, caramel, or hazelnut flavors.
Marble Cold Brew, which is mixed with sweet creamy syrup and swirls of light cream.
I found the coffee to be smooth and strong. It is made with 100% Arabica coffee beans sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms in Guatemala.
I really enjoyed it and it kept me energized all afternoon. My favorite version is the Cold Brew Coffee with a splash of cream.
Both cold brew coffee drinks are currently available at 74 McDonald’s restaurants in the San Diego area for a limited time.
