Bacon Cheddar Pinwheels

Bacon Cheddar Pinwheels are an easy appetizer or snack made with four ingredients. They’re made with refrigerated crescent rolls that are rolled up with cheese, bacon, and ranch. The flavor combination is great making this a great recipe to make for game day or parties.

I look forward to watching football games mostly because I get excited to eat a lot of snacks and appetizers. These bacon cheddar pinwheels are one of my new favorites. They’re so easy and I love the bacon with the melty cheese.

I see a lot of pinwheel recipes that are made with flour tortillas and served cold. I like tortilla roll-ups, but these pinwheels with crescent rolls are more filling and served warm. I love the buttery, flaky roll filled with bacon, cheddar, and Ranch dressing. Each one is popping with flavor and a perfect bite.

Ingredients

  • Crescent rolls
  • Ranch dressing
  • Chopped cooked bacon
  • Shredded cheddar cheese

How to Make Pinwheels with Crescent Rolls

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 350°F.

Unroll the dough sheet and cut it into four rectangles. You can press the perforations in the dough to seal them, if needed.

Top each piece of dough with ranch dressing and spread it into a thin layer. Top it with the bacon crumbles and cheese.

Roll the rectangles up with the filling inside and slice each roll into 1/2″ slices.

Place the pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet and bake them for 12 to 15 minutes or until the are golden brown.

Make-Ahead Tip

You can assemble the pinwheels up to a day ahead and then cover them with plastic wrap to keep in the refrigerator. Just pop them in the oven when you’re ready to serve them.

Serving Tips

I like to place the warm bacon cheddar pinwheels on a plate for serving. You can garnish them with chopped parsley or sliced green onions if you want to add some color.

I like them plain, but you could add a dipping sauce on the side like ranch dressing or BBQ sauce.
