Kirbie's Cravings

Camellia Road Tea Bar

Camellia Road Tea Bar is a new boba tea cafe that recently opened, offering a higher quality tea experience. They use loose leaf teas, house-made syrups, and real milk (instead of milk powder) in their drinks.

The owners are originally from San Gabriel Valley and saw a need for a better tea experience in San Diego.

The restaurant currently offers several milk teas and frescas. We’ve visited a few times to make our way through their tea menu.

After ordering your drinks, you can watch them mix, stir and shake your drink behind the counter.

Oolong Milk Tea

Overall, we’ve enjoyed the drinks here. We like that they keep the ingredients simple and pure. The owners plan to expand the menu later on, adding a few snacks and more drinks. We’re looking forward to seeing what else the owners will be offering in the future.

  1. hi kirbie, was the “honey boba” that you added to your milk tea 50 cents or a dollar extra? i wasn’t sure from your post, and it seemed a little pricey.

    • The prices included the honey boba. So $5 for most of the milk teas with boba (with the exception of matcha). The prices are a little higher but it’s because they are using higher quality teas.
