I love funfetti recipes and this easy milkshake is a fun way to use funfetti cake mix to make an ice cream treat.
I’ve had funfettti recipes on my mind lately. Funfetti mug cakes, brownies, and cupcakes and then I thought, what about a funfetti milkshake?
I was first excited but then wondered if it would work as a milkshake. Would the Pillsbury funfetti cake mix be weird in a milkshake? There was only one way to find out so I tried it.
Funfetti
Funfetti cake mix is just a white cake mix flavored with vanilla with sprinkles in it that look like confetti in the cake, which is why it’s called “funfetti”.
If you’ve ever had cake batter ice cream, I think I you’ll like this funfetti milkshake. It’s sweet and, because the cake batter dissolves into the shake when you blend it, it just tastes like cake batter ice cream blended up into a shake.
Ingredients
There are only three ingredients for this milkshake:
- Vanilla ice cream
- Funfetti cake mix
- Milk
The milk helps thin the shake since the cake mix makes it a little thick. I added some sprinkles on top for a cute decoration.

Can I also use different kinds of cake mix?
