Pumpkin Smoothie

This Pumpkin Smoothie is easy to make and is made with simple ingredients. Combine pumpkin puree with Greek yogurt and a touch of honey for a lightly sweetened smoothie drink you can enjoy any time of day.

Last year, I made some delicious pumpkin milkshakes. This year, I thought I’d start with something a little healthier: a pumpkin smoothie recipe. I like blended drinks like my matcha green tea smoothie and mango lassi, so why not try pumpkin?

I really love pumpkin in both sweet and savory recipes. I got the idea for this smoothie recipe after my pumpkin yogurt dip.

This drink is super easy to make and even healthy enough for breakfast because it’s only lightly sweetened with honey and has very few ingredients.

Ingredients

  • Cold pumpkin puree – I store a can of pumpkin puree in the fridge so it’s ready to use when I want to make this smoothie.
  • Plain Greek yogurt
  • Ground cinnamon – you could also use pumpkin pie spice so it tastes more like a pumpkin pie smoothie.
  • Honey – start with a little at a time until the drink is sweetened to your taste. You can also use pure maple syrup.

How to Make It

Place all of the smoothie ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Pour into glasses and enjoy it cold.

Variations

I like this pumpkin smoothie simple but you can add things to it to make it more filling or to change the flavor.

Frozen banana would work well and pairs with the pumpkin.

Add a dash of vanilla extract.

You can also add dairy milks, dairy-free milk like almond milk or oat milk, or coconut milk. This will thin it, so you can add more yogurt if needed.

For extra protein, add some vanilla protein powder.

Any pumpkin spice will work like ginger, cloves, allspice, or nutmeg. Just don’t use too much so it doesn’t overpower the smoothie.
