These cookies and cream cookies stay soft and fluffy for days, making them a perfect gift for the holidays. Crushed Oreo cookies are mixed into the batter give the cookies a little crunch in every bite.

For my holiday baking, I like to make Christmas cookie recipes that store well, especially since many of my friends and family won’t receive the cookies right away. These soft cookies and cream cookies are perfect because they stay soft for days.

Pudding Mix Cookies

For years, I’ve made these soft chocolate chip cookies that use pudding mix to help maintain a fluffy texture. My siblings like to joke that the cookies will never go hard and if we were to bury them and dig them up a decade later, they would still be soft.

This idea came about when some accidentally were forgotten and found a few months later, still feeling very soft (Don’t worry, no one actually ate them!).

So, when I saw cookies and cream pudding mix at the store recently, I knew I needed to use it to make these soft cookies with crushed Oreos.

Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour
  • Baking soda
  • Softened butter
  • Light brown sugar
  • Granulated sugar
  • Instant cookies and cream pudding mix
  • Large eggs
  • Vanilla extract
  • Crushed Oreo cookies

How to Make Soft Cookies

Sift the flour and baking soda in a medium bowl. In a large bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add the dry pudding mix and mix until combined. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix again.

Add the dry ingredients and mix on low speed until the dough comes together. Add the crushed cookies and stir until they are evenly distributed in the dough.

Form the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet. Bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are golden.

Store the cooled cookies in an airtight container.

These cookies came out just perfect. I love how creamy they are from the crushed Oreo and cookies and cream pudding mix. The cookies have a winter look to them as well which I really enjoy.
