This Pizza Dip has seven layers of cheese and pizza toppings for a fun game day or party snack. It’s easy to make and perfect with tortilla chips!
I love game day appetizers, so I’m excited to share this easy pepperoni pizza dip. It’s the perfect snack for football or other parties.
There are a few ways you can make pizza dip, and my recipe has seven different layers. I use tomato sauce, sausage, Parmesan cheese, pepperoni, cheese, and some broccoli.
It’s so easy to make – just assemble the layers and bake it. We like it with tortilla chips, but it’d also be great with pita chips, bread sticks, crackers, sliced baguettes, or veggie sticks.
Ingredients
- Tomato sauce or marinara sauce
- Cooked ground sausage – I like to use turkey sausage, or you can use pork sausage. If you use pork sausage, you will want to drain off the excess fat after you cook it.
- Shredded Parmesan cheese
- Italian seasoning or dried oregano
- Chopped cooked broccoli
- Mini pepperoni
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
Recipe Steps
Spread the tomato sauce in the bottom of a baking dish. Layer on the sausage, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, broccoli, and pepperoni, and sprinkle the mozzarella over the top. I like to add some pepperoni on top of the mozzarella.
Bake the pizza dip at 375°F for 15 to 20 minutes or until it’s hot and the cheese is melted.
Variations
You can change this pizza dip recipe depending on what you like on your pizza. Here are some ideas:
- Add some black olives
- Some crispy chopped bacon or diced ham sprinkled over the top.
- Instead of broccoli, try cooked bell peppers or mushrooms
- Swap the ground sausage for ground beef (just drain the fat after you cook it).
- Replace half of the mozzarella cheese with cheddar cheese.
- Add some red pepper flakes if you like heat.
- You could also add some fresh herbs like chopped parsley or basil.
Avoid toppings with too much moisture, like pineapple, tomatoes, or other fruit. Other veggies will work as long as they’re cooked first.

7 Layer Pizza Dip
Ingredients
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 cups cooked ground turkey sausage
- 2 cups shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup Italian seasoning
- 1 cup chopped cooked broccoli
- 1 cup mini pepperoni
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- additional mini pepperoni for sprinkling on surface
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Take a regular-sized deep dish baking casserole pan (please note the one in the photo was for half the serving this recipe makes). Starting with tomato sauce, spread it evenly across the bottom layer. Then layer on the second ingredient, and repeating with remaining until you have completed your layered dip.
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until cheese turns bubbling. Serve with tortilla chips, pita bread, or anything else you desire.
Notes
- You can customize the fillings for this dip, but I don't recommend using ingredients that will release a lot of moisture while they cook like mushrooms and peppers.
