My favorite thing about watching football is the food and so I thought I’d share some recipes I love to make when we have guests over to watch a game. I hope you find some snacks to try.

cheddar pull apart bread

Bacon Cheddar Pull Apart Bread | This cheesy bread is easy to make with a store-bought bread round. All you do is slice it and then stuff it with cheddar cheese and bacon.

Pepperoni Cheese Ball | A cream cheese ball with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese is shaped into a football and decorated with pepperoni. It’s a fun snack for a game day party.

avocado bacon fries

Bacon Wrapped Avocado Fries | I love the combination of bacon and avocado and these fries are a great way to use them. The soft and creamy avocado slices are wrapped in crispy bacon for fun finger food.

Avocado Eggrolls | Hot and crispy fried eggrolls filled with guacamole are a fun twist on traditional eggrolls. Add the creamy cilantro-ranch sauce flavored with chives and other seasonings on the side for dipping.

Bacon Wrapped Eggplant Fries | Or, try wrapping sliced eggplant with bacon to make delicious fries.

Chicken Fritters | Savoy fritters garnished with scallions with a dipping sauce on the side are a delicious snack for a crowd.

blooming onion bread

Blooming Onion Pizza Bread | This pull apart bread is inspired by a blooming onion and pizza flavors combined into one.

General Tso’s Chicken Sandwiches | These easy sliders combine a sandwich with a favorite take-out dish.

Brazilian bread balls

Brazillian Cheese Breads | These chewy rolls are really easy to make and a great snack. You can make them with a variety of different cheeses and this version has Gouda.

Breakfast Totchos | If the game starts early, treat everyone to some sheet pan totchos for brunch!

cauliflower buffalo bites

Buffalo Cauliflower Bites | These are a lighter take on buffalo wings but instead of wings, I coat cauliflower florets in a delicious buffalo sauce.

Loaded Nachos | Carne Asada piled on tortilla chips with lots of nacho toppings like guacamole, sour cream, green onions, and salsa.

bulgogi sliders

Bulgogi Sliders | These sliders have Korean-inspired marinated beef and are easy to make. They’re a nice twist on a traditional slider and great for parties.

Sausage Rolls | These are like pigs in a blanket but bigger and wrapped with super soft milk bread. Or try my mini Pretzel Sausage Rolls which are bite-sized.

honey garlic wings

Honey Garlic Wings | I love a big plate of chicken wings and this version is brushed with a sticky honey garlic sauce.

Crispy Baked Bang Bang Shrimp | This is a crispy baked appetizer that is great for snacking. The panko shrimp are served with a spicy bang bang sauce.

seven layer dips

Individual Seven-Layer Dips | This is one of my favorite ways to serve dip: in individual-sized containers so everyone gets their own. This dip has layers of beans, sour cream, guacamole, cheese and salsa.

Honey Garlic Meatballs | Sweet and savory meatballs are easy to make and a great snack!

spinach dip bread bowls

Individual Spinach Dip Bread Rolls | You can also do the same thing with spinach dip. But instead of a plastic container, fill small rolls with the dip and serve them with vegetable sticks.

BLT Guacamole | For this, I took a basic guac recipe and added tomatoes and crispy bacon. It’s a great dip for a football party.

nacho pretzel bites

Nacho Pretzel Bites | Homemade soft pretzel bites stuffed with nacho cheese is a great snack for game day parties.

Mexican Corn Salad | This appetizer is like Mexican grilled corn, but made easy as a dip. It’s a combo of corn, cotija cheese, cilantro, with a light mayo-based dressing.

pepperoni piiza puffs

Pepperoni Pizza Puffs | These muffins are easy to make and taste like pizza with cheese and pepperoni.

Pizza Stuffed Mushrooms | These are a fun appetizer that taste like pizza but instead of a crust, mushrooms are topped with pepperoni and cheese.

salt and pepper popcorn chicken

Salt and Pepper Popcorn Chicken | This classic Taiwanese dish consists of crunchy popcorn chicken, dusted with pepper, salt and chili pepper, creating an addicting snack.

salt and pepper wings

Salt and Pepper Wings | Or, you can make salt and pepper wings. These are crunchy and so delicious.

sriracha bacon wrapped onion rings

Sriracha Bacon Wrapped Onion Rings | These are a twist on onion rings but instead of breading and frying the onion rings, I wrap them in bacon, brush them with sriracha, and bake them until the bacon is crispy.

sriracha buffalo chicken dip

Sriracha Buffalo Chicken Dip | A classic buffalo chicken dip gets a sriracha twist. This is a hot dip with spice that is great with chips or veggie sticks.

sriracha buffalo wings

Sriracha Buffalo Wings | Here’s a mother way to make chicken wings – brush the fried wings with sriracha for a spicy kick.

soft pretzel bites

Soft Pretzel Bites | Make homemade soft pretzel bites and add some dipping sauces on the side for a delicious snack.

pretzel pizza bites

Soft Pretzel Pizza Bites | If you want to dress up plain pretzels stuff them with pizza toppings and serve them with marinara on the side for dipping.

stuffed pizza bites

Stuffed Pizza Bites | Use your favorite homemade pizza dough or use store-bought to make pizza stuffed soft rolls. They’re a fun bite-sized snack.

I hope you’ve found some easy game day snacks to try for your event!

  1. Great round up! I had forgotten about some of these recipes.  Can make a bunch of munches for snacking at home.

    • thank you! I had forgotten too! hehe. It’s a nice reminder for me as well, though I cringe when I see some of my old posts.
