If you’re short on time, having problems with your oven, or looking for single-serving recipes, this round-up is for you. You can make so many dishes in just a few minutes with your microwave, including savory and sweet dishes. I’m sharing all of my favorite recipes for you to try!

Cookies, pasta, pizza, cakes, and soup are just a few of the easy recipes you can make in your microwave. I’ve been experimenting with easy microwave recipes for years and have so many main dishes, snacks, and dessert recipes to share. I hope you find some new ones to try!

Easy Microwave Recipes

Here you’ll find my favorite savory main dishes and snacks you can cook in the microwave. These are all small batch recipes and perfect when you get a craving for pasta, take-out, mac and cheese but don’t want to make a big batch or a big mess in the kitchen.

Hot and Sour Soup | You don’t have to order take-out to enjoy a bowl of hot and sour soup. This recipe is a single-serving that cooks in the microwave.

One Bowl Lasagna | It might not look like a traditional lasagna, but it has all the cheese, pasta and sauce. Plus, it’s ready in less than 10 minutes. It’s great when you get a carb craving but don’t want to make a full pan of lasagna.

Steamed Eggs | A quick and easy shortcut method for making steamed eggs. This method is faster than the traditional cooking method but still produces an egg custard dish with a silky and smooth texture.

Low Carb Pizza Bread | If you’re following a gluten-free or keto diet you don’t have to give up pizza. This easy microwave pizza bread will satisfy your craving.

Chinese Buns | These homemade buns are so easy to make and just as good as traditional ones. Each bun takes less than five minutes to prepare and cooks in the microwave. No yeast required!

Low Carb Grilled Cheese | These grilled cheese sandwiches are made with low carb gluten-free bread that cooks in the microwave in less than 2 minutes.

Cauliflower Fried Rice | I love fried rice and this is what I make when I get a craving but want to keep it low-carb.

Egg White Omelettes | These are easy to prep ahead and customize with your favorite add-ins. When it’s time for breakfast, pop it in the microwave and breakfast is ready to go.

Microwave Bread | This bread is made with peanut butter but it’s not too sweet and has a similar texture to regular bread. It’s great for toast or sandwiches.

Mac and Cheese in a Mug | You can make cheesy mac and cheese with just a few ingredients, a microwave and a mug!

Low Carb English Muffin | This single bread bun is just four ingredients and cooks in less than two minutes in the microwave. It’s a delicious paleo, low carb, gluten-free and grain-free alternative for bread or English muffins.

Easy Lemon Curd | Want a delicious topping for your English muffin or toast? This lemon curd is simple to make.

Mug Cakes

If you’ve been following my blog you already know about my mug cake recipe obsession. I absolutely love creating fun and delicious single-serving cakes that you can make in the microwave.

Chocolate Chip Mug Cake | This single-serving cake starts with a fluffy brown sugar cake base mixed with chocolate chips. It cooks in just 1 minute and tastes like a chocolate chip cookie that got turned into a cake.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cake | Three ingredients and about five minutes prep time. If you love peanut butter you will love this easy microwave cake.

Flourless Nutella Mug Cake | This Nutella cake is so rich, dense and chocolaty. The perfect treat for one.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Mug Cake | Creamy, fluffy, eggless peanut butter cake mixed with melty chocolate chips. This single-serving mug cake is ready in about 5 minutes.

Cake Mix Lava Mug Cake  | A super easy molten chocolate lava mug cake that uses cake mix as the base but doesn’t require oil and eggs. This single-serving cake takes only about 5 minutes to make including cooking time.

Cinnamon Roll Cake | Make this one for breakfast, dessert or as snack. It tastes just like a cinnamon roll but it’s so much easier to make.

Microwave Cookies

Like mug cakes, these cookies are all single-serving treats that you can make in just a few minutes. These are great when you want something sweet but don’t want to make a big batch of cookies.

Snickerdoodle Cookie | This soft and chewy cookie is the perfect treat for one.

Matcha Cookie | This single, soft, matcha green tea flavored cookie cooks in 50 seconds and takes less than 5 minutes to make!

Nutella Cookie | This cookie is soft and cakey with lots of chocolate chips.

Deep Dish Cookie | This microwave version of a deep dish cookie is easy to whip up. Add a scoop of ice cream and dig in while it’s still warm and melty.

Sprinkles Sugar Cookies | Sometimes you just need some sprinkles and this easy microwave sugar cookie is the perfect way to treat yourself.
