Bread and Muffins
For me, the fall baking season is not complete without making a few batches of pumpkin bread and muffins. I’m sharing my classic recipes but also a few with updated twists. Pumpkin pairs with so many flavors including peanut butter, chocolate and Nutella and I love experimenting with new combinations.
Flourless Pumpkin Bread | Of course, I have to share a pumpkin bread first, so I’m sharing one of my favorite recipes that is so easy to make you don’t even need a bowl. Instead, use your blender to make the batter and pour it into a loaf pan. The bread is fluffy, moist, and full of fall spices. And there’s no flour, so it’s also gluten-free. For a chocolate twist, try my Flourless Chocolate Pumpkin Bread, too.
Double Braided Pumpkin Bread | This yeast-based bread is perfect for holiday meals. It bakes up soft and is spiced with cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. The leftover bread makes the most wonderful Pumpkin French Toast.
Pumpkin Bread | This is a traditional quick bread recipe that’s easy to make. I’ve been making this bread for years and it’s always a must-make during the fall season. Prefer muffins? Try my Pumpkin Muffins recipe or, if you like Nutella, you might like my Nutella Swirl Pumpkin Bread.

Cakes and Pies
Pumpkin pie is a classic (and I’m sharing my favorite recipe!), but sometimes it’s fun to switch things up and make different kinds of pumpkin desserts like pound cakes, custard cakes, and brownies. If you’re looking for creative recipes to make this year I think you’ll find some keepers in this list.
Pumpkin Nutella Cakes | These individual cakes are moist and fluffy and filled with a delicious Nutella spread.
Pumpkin Cake | This cake has a tender crumb similar to a pound cake. It’s easy to make and a wonderful dessert during the fall season. I also have a year-round Pumpkin Pound Cake I like to make that is not heavily spiced or check out my eggless Pumpkin Custard Cake.
Mini Pumpkin Pies | I love to make mini desserts for the holidays and these mini pies are always fun to make.
Pumpkin Brownies | Technically, brownies are not cake but these eggless pumpkin brownies bake up with a fudgy cakey texture. Plus, you only need one bowl to make them! You might like my Pumpkin Swirl Brownies, too.
Pumpkin Magic Cake | This two-layer dessert has a layer of pumpkin pie and a layer of chocolate cake, creating a very moist and delicious cake. The magic part is that the dessert separates into two layers while baking.
Mug Cakes
Sometimes making a whole loaf of pumpkin bread or baking a big cake is a hassle so I’ve come up with all sorts of fun and creative pumpkin mug cakes. You know, for those times when you’re craving fall flavors but don’t want to make a big mess in the kitchen. These are single-serving cakes that will get you in the fall spirit.
Nutella Swirled Pumpkin Mug Cake | This quick and easy mug cake is made even more delicious with a generous swirl of Nutella. It takes just minutes to make in the microwave and is a great single-serving cake for fall. Or, try my gluten-free Flourless Nutella Pumpkin Mug Cake that doesn’t have any flour.

Flourless Pumpkin Mug Cake | This gluten-free mug cake is one of my favorite treats to make when I don’t want to make a whole loaf of bread. You get all the fall spices plus a fluffy cake in less than 10 minutes start to finish.
Pumpkin Cheesecake Mug Cake | This cheesecake is cheesy, soft and with a touch of pumpkin spice. No, it’s not exactly the same as a baked version, but it’s pretty close and takes less than 10 minutes to make.
Best Pumpkin Spice Mug Cake | I’m one of those people who can’t have just one slice of pumpkin bread. If I make a loaf I usually end up eating most of it myself! So, this easy pumpkin spice cake is how I do some portion control. It’s a perfect single-serving cake that’s full of pumpkin flavor. I also have a Skinny Pumpkin Mug Cake that has all the same great flavors but with fewer calories.
Cookies
I’ve made lots of pumpkin cookies over the years and these are some of my favorite recipes. Shortbread cookies, ones with chocolate chips and Nutella, and pumpkin bars are always a big hit with my family.
Pumpkin Spice Shortbread Cookies | Shortbread cookies are all about the melt-in-your-mouth buttery texture so for these cookies I used pumpkin butter instead of pumpkin puree. The cookies are sandwiched together with a rich and decadent dulce de leche sauce.
Pumpkin Snickerdoodles | These cookies are a fun fall twist on traditional snickerdoodle cookies.
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bars | Rich, dense and gooey pumpkin bars with chocolate chips are a sweet fall treat. They are a great make-ahead dessert for potlucks and parties or you can freeze them to enjoy later.
Microwave Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookie | This single serving microwave cookie is ready in just a few minutes. As an added bonus, it’s also egg-free! You mix everything in a mug, put it on a plate, and cook it for less than 1 minute for a soft cookie.
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies | These cookies are an irresistible treat during the fall. They are studded with melty chocolate chips and the cookies puff up as they bake so that they’re soft and pillowy. This is definitely one of our favorites.
Nutella Swirl Pumpkin Cookies | I love the combination of Nutella and pumpkin and so these cookies are always a sweet treat.
Breakfast Recipes
Of course, you can always serve homemade pumpkin bread for breakfast, but there are so many other ways to give your favorite breakfast treats a pumpkin twist. Overnight oats, bubble buns, doughnuts, and energy bites are a few of the ways I like to put a pumpkin spin on breakfast.
Pumpkin Overnight Oats | I love overnight oats as a quick and easy make-ahead breakfast during the week and this version is like a pumpkin pie you can eat for breakfast.
Mini Pumpkin Donut Muffins | Donut muffins are great because they taste like cake donuts but are easier (and cuter!) to make. Of course, I have a pumpkin version and they’re always a favorite fall breakfast or brunch treat.
Cinnamon Pumpkin Bubble Buns | These bubble buns are a fun pull-apart breakfast bread that will fill your house with the aroma of fall spices. Or you might like my Cinnamon Pumpkin Monkey Bread, too.
Pumpkin Pie Energy Bites | No-bake, paleo, and gluten-free energy balls are a healthy snack and taste like pumpkin pie filling. They are a great way to use up leftover pumpkin puree.
Pumpkin Doughnuts | These baked mini donuts are coated in cinnamon and sugar. They’re a fun breakfast treat.
Pumpkin Pull-Apart Bread | I love pull-apart bread and this version is one of my favorites. I love peeling off the layers of pumpkin bread coated with cinnamon.
Savory Pumpkin Recipes
So, we already know pumpkin is great in baked goods and desserts, but have you ever used pumpkin in savory recipes? Pumpkin is actually quite mild in flavor and pairs great with savory ingredients. So, if you’re looking to try some savory recipes here are a few of my favorites.
Pumpkin Macaroni and Cheese | This macaroni and cheese is ultra creamy with a subtle hint of pumpkin. It’s warm, comforting, and ready in less than 30 minutes.
Pumpkin Soft Pretzel Bites | These soft pretzels have a hint of pumpkin and are a bite-sized savory treat. Or, try my Cinnamon Pumpkin Soft Pretzels which are bigger like traditional pretzels.
Pumpkin Dinner Rolls | These rolls are great for holiday dinners. They bake up nice and soft and go with lots of savory dishes. It’s a unique way to change up traditional dinner rolls.
Baked Pumpkin Chips | These baked chips are a crunchy, healthy, and easy snack. If you enjoy the flavor of pumpkin, this is a great alternative to regular potato chips. Another fun snack I love to make is Pumpkin Fruit Leather.
Pumpkin Garlic Knots | Pumpkin pairs wonderfully with garlic and these rolls are a great addition to a holiday dinner.
Pumpkin Fries | I love sweet potato fries so for this recipe I thought, “why not pumpkin fries?” These baked fries are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
Searched for a pumpkin oatmeal bar like your4
Ingredient breakfast bars but didn’t find a recipe.
I use food processor 2 mash nanas (it uses about 7 nanas) and it is like a puree so plan to try with 1 cup or so of pumpkin puree in future. Usually add extra nana puree just 2 use all from processor. Most often use 1/2 cup of chopped dates rather than raisins or chips. Add cinnamon allspice fresh grated nutmeg too.
That sounds delicious!! Thanks for sharing!
